Welcome to our first newsletter of 2009. This year promises to be full of challenges so when you need a few days away to restore your sanity do come and let us pamper you. We have spent the winter taking apart and putting in a larger modern en suite bathroom for the Lawyers Room. We have also redecorated and changed a few things around. We hope the articles in this newsletter will encourage you to come to Snowdonia.

In an attempt to reduce the ever increasing mountain accidents in Snowdonia, a study has been undertaken of Mountain Rescue incidents over the past 6 years. The results profile people most at risk, the type of incidents that were most common, where the incidents took place and where the people involved came from. The findings of the study also highlighted the fact that 60% of the people requesting rescue were uninjured. This indicates that the majority of people needing rescue were either lost or stuck. SUPERSONIC jets twisting and turning at low level through the beautiful valleys of North Wales are being captured on film by keen photographers.
Dozens of aircraft enthusiasts head to the Snowdonia hills from all over Britain every week to capture the thrilling action.
Tornado, Typhoon, Hawk and Harrier jets are permitted to fly at just 100 feet above ground level.
