Dear Friends,
There is a noticeable buzz around the Jones homestead this month. The reason for this is the new hive of bees at the bottom of the orchard. I have always wanted to keep bees and so after a 3 session course at Ruthin I now have my own colony. However, the less than summery weather has meant that they have stayed hive bound for much of the time.
It is not only the bees that have been reticent to travel far and it has been noticeable that UK tourism as a whole has been quieter than usual. Thankfully, now the sun is out and is forecast to be a much improved picture for the rest of the summer. So like the bees it is now the case of making up for lost time. North Wales has never looked better in the height of summer; if you thought it was green during your last visit wait until you see it now. Hopefully on your next visit the honey for breakfast will be locally produced by contented North Wales bees.
The link to short breaks at the bottom of the page offers lots of accommodation at special rates.
All the best,
Kevin

North Wales is small. But our list of attractions is big. You can visit the locals at Conwy RSPB Nature Reserve, or the not-so-locals at Pili Palas. Take a train to the top of Snowdon, or journey deep inside an electric mountain at Elidir. Tour one of 11 National Trust properties, Erddig comes complete with landscaped parkland (very handy for walking off that Welsh cream tea). And while you're outdoors, you can bike on four wheels at Glasfryn Parc, or trot on four legs at Tal y Foel Riding Centre. And that's the trouble with North Wales, you see. What
