As the snow clears people are now starting to consider their annual holidays. Research strongly indicates that many people are considering doing something different this year; holidaying in the UK. The reasons given are easy to understand; a weak pound, frustration with air travel, and an increasing similarity of destinations; a hotel beach in Spain is not too different to a hotel beach in Jamaica. People are looking for a holiday experience that is genuine, a destination that is real where the sights and sounds have not been fabricated for the benefit of the tourist but simply a natural world in which real people go about normal lives in towns and villages that still bear evidence of their history and cultural change. Does this sound like North Wales to you? If you have already planned to visit North Wales during 2009 it may be wise to book well I advance.
