Dear Friends,
If like me, you have been waiting for the weather to improve before taking a short break this summer, then time is running out. Regardless of the forecast I have decided to go for it and booked a 3 day break 30 miles away. That is one of the beauties of North Wales; the scenery can change dramatically around every corner so you really do not have to travel too far to experience a change. I will not say where I am going in order to avoid the crowds but one intention is to walk along Moel Famau (see article) Dianne has already done a recce. Although the highest point is only 554m (1818ft) I will be pleased not to be doing it in bright sunshine.
Another problem with this poor summer is that the bees have been loath to leave the hive and so instead of now taking off about 40 jars of honey I have to feed them.
To encourage you to take one more break before the nights draw in many accommodation providers are offering special deals. To see what is available see the article "A little more encouragement".
